First College Graduate in Family is a York, SC Doctor

For years I can remember that no one in our family had even been able to go to college much less become a York SC doctor, but there were, all 125 Robinson family members sitting proudly in the auditorium seats at my daughter Alecia’s graduation from medicine school ten years ago. We almost flooded that place with our tears of joy as her name was called as she proudly, and humbly, walked across the stage to accept her diploma.
The joy was inexpressible that our family felt, and the pride as great. Family members had come from all over the country for this event, but, still, most of us lived there in the immediate York area so as Alecia set up her medical practice she had about 90 people ready to become her patients. As one of the few doctors York SC had, her business was ready to boom anyway, and soon enough she was as busy as a cat in a room full of mice.
Over the next ten years we saw two more family members graduate from college, with one earning his degree while on a football scholarship to the largest state school in the south. He graduated in three years with a double major, but, after playing for one years in the NFL he tore his knee severely and came home for medical treatment at Alecia’s growing practice with one of her general practice doctors York SC. Now he is talking about going to med school as well.
Education has changed our family, and we are proud of our York, SC doctors.
