Last week while at work, a migraine headache came upon me and almost made me worthless. I was okay in the morning, but as the day went on, my head began to hurt more and more. By mid-afternoon I couldn’t stand any bright lights (even dim lights made my head hurt). Sounds were equally as painfull, but I couldn’t leave my job.
I work as a projectionist and run two small projectors from a common projector room. I didn’t have any replacement so I couldn’t just leave. So I stuck it out and just suffered through it. When I wasn’t cleaning a projector or setting it up for the next showing, I would lay down on the tile floor and just feel the coolness of the floor until the show was over. Then I would pry myself off the floor and do it all over again.
I didn’t want to take any pain killers, so when I got off work I went to the chiropractor for a Junction City headache treatment which lessened the pain right away.
