Lift On An Empty Stomach

August 17th, 2012 by admin

I do not generally eat that much if at all before a workout.  There is a lot of talk these days about how important it is to eat before you go into a workout.  The truth is that I do not take any supplements, and I do not really ever eat any food either.  I drink water.  I always have the energy that I need to workout for the most part.  But if I eat before a workout I feel sluggish, and tired.  That is the total opposite of how I want to feel. If you want to get six pack abs you have to make everything work.

The fitness and nutrition industry wants you to believe that you have to eat, and take a bunch of supplements before you workout because that is what makes them the money.  It is all a bunch of bull.  You will have more energy to do your workouts if you are working on an empty belly.  This is also good because then you will be hungry when you are done and ready to eat when it counts, after the workout.  That is when you want to focus on nutrition.  A whey protein shake is the only supplement that you need after you are done your workout.  All of those other supplements that the magazines make you think are so important, are all useless.  Be concerned about real nutrition, not supplements.

You have a protein shake, and then you eat a good meal.  You have to use this time to your advantage.  There are 2 times during the day that you have to be really concerned about your nutrition, in the morning, and after your workouts.
