Many people love horses and many people love France. And almost everybody loves holidays. So, tour operators figured out that the three things could be combined and came up with the idea of a france horse riding holiday. This may sound amazing, but you do need to know what to expect, since it isn’t for everybody. However, it is an amazing type of vacation, so read on to figure out if you could feel relaxed when taking a France horse riding holiday.
What to Expect – the Bad Points
It is usually best to start with the bad points. That way, anything that comes afterwards is more positive, helping you to forget or overlook the hard parts. But, honesty is very important, so let’s review the not so good points of a horse riding holiday in France.
There is actually only one main downside and that is that these holidays are seriously hard work. You need to help look after your horse (brushing them, watering them, cleaning their stables, taking care of the tack, scarping their hooves and so on), and you need to physically exert yourself whilst riding all day long.
Some people may say that this isn’t a downside, it is the essence of horse riding. This may be true, but shovelling poo out of a stable and getting muddy and mucky isn’t everybody’s idea of a relaxing holiday. Nor does everybody look forward to having pains and aches at the end of a day.
What to Expect – the Good Points
So what about the good points? In fairness, there are so many good points that it would be hard to list them all. You get to be at one with nature, see something else every day of your holiday, learn things about France, see things not everybody has seen before, spend time in glorious nature, make new friends and bond with everybody’s favourite animal.
It truly is the holiday of a life time and anybody that likes horses is likely to enjoy this type of break. But, you must remember that it is not the type of holiday that involves lounging about getting a suntan whilst reading the latest bestselling novel. It involves hard work and physical straining. But, most people would agree that it is more than worth it and the photos you capture are sure to be the envy of your friends.
