Moving into the south from the Midwest my family and I knew it would be a culture shock as we had never even below the Mason-Dixon Line, but, because of employment opportunities that arose after being out of work for two years we felt we had to do what we had to do and I ended up getting hired for a company surrounded by family physicians in Rock Hill, SC – my company sells CCCTV equipment.

After getting moved in and starting my new job, I brought up the obvious question of how our CCTV company got wedged in between a bunch of doctors Rock Hill. My boss told me that the owner of our company also owned all of the professional buildings in our business park and that he was there long before the doctors came in. It just worked out that way, and greatly benefitted the owner because shortly after he moved in and bought the property a new hospital was funded to be moved in a quarter mile down the road.

In fact, the first account I was assigned to was the hospital and surrounding doctor’s offices, so off and running was I to get to know each and every medical professional in the 40 mile radius, beginning with my next door neighbors who ran a internal medicine doctor office Rock Hill.

I was quite successful quickly, and developed a sales strategy that was implemented on a broader scale for medical practices.

My family adapted easily enough to the south, and are pleased with our move.
