Can you do high intensity workouts at home and be effective at it? Yes you can. Do you need a ton of expensive gym equipment? Not you do not. You will have your friends begging you to tell them the secret to your success, if you follow the right exercise program. The secret is that you have to choose the right high intensity exercises to put into your workouts.
High intensity, for the most part is going to mean that your workouts are going to be shorter also. This is always a good thing, because we all have important obligations that we need to meet during our bust days. When you are doing high intensity workouts the right way, you are nit going to have the energy to do long workouts.
The key here is to make sure that you are giving it your all during every rep of every exercise. To maximize muscle response, you have to maximize the effort that your muscles need to make in order to lift the weight. This means that you are going to be lifting heavy. Doing 6 reps is a good number to start with.
If you feel that you can go well beyond 6 reps, then you have to up the amount of weight that you are using. I am not saying that you want to go hurt yourself. Use your head, and use good form. If you find that you are breaking form, lower the weight. This is how you strain, tear, and pull muscles. You want to avoid this at all costs.
